The 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad met the Malaysian Diaspora in London for hi-tea at Royal Lancaster Hotel on 30 September 2018. Over 500 Malaysians attended the function. Selected Malaysia-UK Link members were invited to the function as well.
Tun Dr Mahathir undertook a two-leg working visit to the United Kingdom, from 23 September until 25 September and from 29 September to 1 October. This is his first trip to a European country after becoming the Prime Minister for the second time.
Tun Dr Mahathir also met key investors, international capital market analysts as well as potential new investors based in the UK and the European Union as the government is looking to increase foreign direct investment.
